

Near as I can tell, if you try to launch Starbound with mods using the generic Steam application it crashes because the rig you get allocated doesn't have enough memory for everything. However it does mean an additional 5 to 10 minutes of busy work each time I want to play. I've been using the above steps successfully for a number of weeks to load half a dozen or so mods, including some of the big ones like Frackin Universe. Wait till both the main Starbound game and any Workshop mods finish downloading before clicking 'Play Game' to launch Starbound.Įnjoy modded Starbound, for the current session at least.
